Emmanuel Christopher Njavike

Emmanuel Christopher Njavike is a passionate housing researcher with expertise in the Tanzanian housing market and the wider African urban landscape. Holding an MSc in Real Estate and a BSc in Land Management and Valuation from Ardhi University, he blends academic research with practical, on-the-ground experience.

As the head of HousingLAB, a youth-led housing initiative under Hello Africa Consultants, Emmanuel provides strategic guidance on a wide range of projects, from individuals to institutions, and international agencies, to develop context-specific housing solutions in Tanzania. His work on Housing blends around knowledge co-creation, youth, research, climate change and a proactive approach to informality.

His extensive experience spans several countries, including Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Canada.

Emmanuel is a Queen Elizabeth Scholar (QEScholars), an alumnus of the Network of Excellence in Land Governance in Africa (NELGA) where he represented the Eastern African Node, a member of the Just City Platform in Tanzania, Valuers Registration Board of Tanzania, The Association of Real Estate Professional of Tanzania (AREPTA) and the African Real Estate Society. He is also a member of the Ardhi University Convocation publication committee


Partson Paradza

Dr. Paradza has experience in both industry and academia. He worked as an Estates Officer in the Department of Public Works (2011-2016) and as a Town Planning Officer in the Department of Physical Planning (2016-2018) in Zimbabwe. He lectured at BA ISAGO University from 2018 to 2024 before joining the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, where he is currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Construction Economics and Management.

Currently I am the Manager of B2 Immobilis Consulting ltd and an asssociate lecturer in Real Estate management, Real estate valuation, Real estate marketing, housing policies in several public and private universities in Burkina Faso. Previously I acted as a technical assistant for the West African Monetary and Economic Union’s project Centre of Excellence for Housing.


Melkam Ayalew Gebru

I am a lecturer in real property valuation at the Institute of Land Administration, Debre Markos University. I hold a BSc in Land Administration and Surveying and MSc in Real Property Valuation, both from Bahir Dar University.

I have over four years of experience as Head of the Department of Real Property Valuation and have been serving as Vice Dean of the Institute of Land Administration at Debre Markos University since September 2025. My research interests include urban studies, land use, property valuation, land value capture, real estate finance, and land and real estate economics.

I have published more than seven articles in reputable international journals (Elsevier, Emerald, and ASCE) and have extensive experience in teaching, curriculum development, academic leadership, and collaborative research.
