    Through partnerships with leading universities across Africa, NELGA provides high-quality trainings to build the capacity of African land professionals, researchers, and students in addressing complex land governance challenges. This partnership offers accredited courses, online learning, and scholarship opportunities to enhance land governance expertise on the continent.

    One of NELGA’s flagship programs is the accredited course on the Political Economy of Land Governance in Africa, which has trained over 300 land professionals from 39 African countries. Additionally, NELGA has launched a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Land Conflict Management, equipping learners with practical tools to resolve land conflicts effectively. To support academic research, NELGA, in collaboration with institutions awarded over 160 scholarships, with 70 PhDs and 48 MScs through the Gernan Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and an additional 47 from other sources.

    Furthermore, NELGA introduces its new self-paced online course, Maximising Research Impact: Driving Change and Making a Difference, hosted on the atingi platform. This course is designed to help researchers and young professionals enhance their research communication skills, increase engagement with various audiences, and drive real-world change. Participants learn to identify target audiences, craft policy briefs, create engaging social media content, and use storytelling techniques to make their research impactful.

    With ongoing collaborations across numerous African universities, NELGA is committed to expanding access to quality education and fostering a new generation of land governance experts.
